Will you join us for the Liberty Clinic on October 26th? Space is Limited!

Hello Reader,

Did you know our upcoming liberty clinic is open to ages 10 and up?

And did you also know that you don't have to have horse experience to participate?

Yes, this clinic is open to all horse enthusiasts!

We're excited to teach you how to experience the heart of liberty to build your connection and confidence with horses!

Liberty is a beautiful way to develop a foundation for handling and riding skills.

In our one-day clinic, on Saturday, October 26 at Concordia Stables, you will learn these four key elements of liberty, which are:

  • Freedom of Choice: At liberty, horses are not constrained by tack or ropes. This freedom allows them to move freely and express themselves, which helps us understand their frame of mind as well as ours. Working together at liberty thus provides a way to grow with our horse by developing communication skills, deeper connection, and confidence.
  • Clear Communication: Effective liberty work requires clear, consistent, and subtle communication. Horses profoundly respond to body language, vocal cues, and other non-verbal signals, so we will help you recognize what you're saying in how you interact with a horse and also how to interpret what they are communicating to you.
  • Understanding Horse Behavior: Understanding the science behind horse behavior and body language is crucial to anticipating and responding to the horse’s needs and reactions not only in the arena and round pen, but in the barn, pasture, and off-property. We will debunk the myths about behavior and help you develop a science-based perspective that will improve your and your horse's connection and confidence.
  • Building Confidence through Safety: Like humans, horses need to feel safe and confident to learn and develop. We'll teach you how to assess and cultivate safety with your horse, or the horse you lease or lesson on, so that you can both continue to grow in skill to meet your goals.

Join us at Concordia Stables on Saturday, October 26 from 9 am to 5 pm to find out how understanding the heart of liberty can impact your connection with your horse, or the horse you ride, and your confidence in and out of the tack.

Let's stabilize and thrive, in our horsemanship and humanship together!

Lisa

P.S. We're also offering private sessions on Wednesday - Friday, October 23-25, so please don't hesitate to reach out to book your one-hour, half-day, or full-day session!

pressing into authentic life transformation through heart + soul + mind + body restoration Hey there Reader, You may already know what I am about to share if you happen to follow me on Facebook or Instagram, but since I know the algorithm doesn't always serve us well and some of you have chosen to not play the scroll game at all (good for you!), I wanted to share with you my heartbreaking news that my boy, Kodiak Jack, took his final gallop into his eternal home yesterday. This is what I...

Needing a little grit this holiday?

pressing into authentic life transformation through heart + soul + mind + body restoration Hey there Reader, I wanted to check in with you and see how you are handling this holiday season. As intentional as we may feel about enjoying the holiday season, the reality is that the "hard stuff" of life doesn't take a beat. I really felt it when I started decorating the tree, choosing muted colors and a simple, calm golden and neutral hue. It reflects where my heart is at. Maybe you feel that way,...

STABLEMINDED.]US That Just Stinketh How the Hard Can Bring About the Good Hello Reader, Last month, I slipped into your inbox reporting on a season of abundant blessings and few bumps and bruises. While I'm grateful I'm nearly back to full function after my riding accident, I'm still feeling the physical impact of the injury, along with several other personal events that felt like an emotional roller coaster. Maybe you can relate? Things were so crazy hard that my husband started saying,...
