How about releasing restrictions?

Hello Reader,

Does the thought of releasing restrictions bring you comfort or fear?

On the one hand, restrictions can be protective and provide safety. But on the other hand, restrictions can be limiting and smothering.

In this case, when I'm referring to releasing restrictions, I'm speaking of the tension we hold in our minds and bodies that hinders movement and optimal function.

It's an idea that has been on my mind ever since interviewing Cathy Woods for this latest episode of the Liberated Equestrian Podcast. Once again, Cathy has a way of inspiring me to pause and reflect on simple concepts with profound impact. I'm excited for you to lean into this episode and follow along the journey of learning and growing as Cathy and I chat about my experience attending one of her famous Body, Mind, Equine retreats a few years ago. We also dig into the benefits of taking time to be present in the moment, reflecting on the gift we behold with every breath.

May this episode inspire you to pause and pay attention to the opportunities before you to improve your overall wellness and performance in your humanship and, for my fellow equestrians, in your horsemanship.

May we stabilize and thrive together!

In this together,

Lisa Pulliam

Hello Reader, Continuing the backstory that led to launching the Liberated Equestrian Podcast, in this episode, I’m digging a little bit more into my return to the horse world in the last decade and the lessons learned about listening to my gut. It’s been quite a journey in a relatively short period of time. Yes, it's been a bit of a roller-coaster becoming a second-season equestrian and experiencing everything from the joy of riding again to fulfilling the dream of horse ownership to...

Hello Reader, Is trauma just a buzzword? We label all sorts of things “trauma” or “traumatic.” But what is the definition of trauma? Does it even matter how we classify an incident or experience? On this episode of the Liberated Equestrian Podcast, I'm unpacking what defines trauma and why it is important to have a trauma-informed understanding of behavior. While this episode is tailored for equestrians, the information is applicable for all! We are all at risk of getting stuck in a trauma...
